Over the years the manual attendance management has been carried across most of educational institutions. To overcome the problems of manual attendance, I have developed “web based attendance Management System”. Attendance Management System is based on web server, which can be implemented on any computer. In This application, PHP is server side language, MySQL and PHP is used as back-end design and HTML, CSS and JavaScript are used as front-end tools. The system communicates with database residing on a remote server. It calculates automatically, the attendance percentage of students without any manual paper-based work. The system facilitates the end users with interactive design and automated processing of attendance management.

Thesis/Project Title: Financial Studio: Android Based Application for Computing Tax, Pension, Zakat and Loan

This thesis deals with the development of android-based financial studio, an integrated application for calculating tax, pension, zakat, and loan. Financial studio can facilitate employers of any department and other individuals. It will assist to assess, how much, we should invest every month to get a desired amount at the end of an investment. It can quickly calculate taxes, retirement plans, pension, loans, financial investments, and zakat. It has four modules namely, (i) tax calculation module, (ii) pension calculation module, (iii) Zakat calculation module, and (iv) loan calculation module. The tax calculation module is used to perform tax related calculations required by a salaried person in government and non-organization the tax rules and rates are based on government of Pakistan (2014-15) regulations. This module calculates income tax to be paid on their income. The pension calculation module is used to perform calculations pertaining to pension related issues of a retired person of some organization. The application assists in computing computing total gratuity, net pension, increases on pension, medical allowances, and total monthly pension. The third module is related to zakat calculations payable on gold, silver, cash, business, and property. The loan calculation module is used to perform loan related calculations on the basis of input provided by the user and assists the users for know about the payments to be made on monthly and yearly basis. The application is user friendly, interactive and provides easy to use options for the aforementioned financial computations.

This Thesis deals with development of android-based application for the conversion of different metrics and cost estimation of software projects. This system can be used by business and educational stakeholders, such as students, software developers, and business organizations. The main aim of the proposed system is to assist the software development team estimate the cost, effort and maintenance of the project under development. Moreover it assists in applying the different conversion metrics efficiently and easily. The proposed conversion and estimation application comprises of two main modules, namely: (i) conversion (ii) estimation. These two modules are further comprised of sub-modules. The conversion module deals with conversion of different metrics, such as weight, distance, and temperature from one unit to other unit. The estimation module is used perform software cost estimation using CoCoMo I and CoCoMo II. The application generates accurate results in user friendly mode. The healthcare problems are growing rapidly on each successive day and people have to spend lot of money for their daily checkup, because they do not have an easy and free access to their checkup. Android-based application aims for an easy access and use for providing almost free of cost facility to users. Therefore, the development of healthcare android-based application is essentially required. The primary goal of this study is to develop an android-based healthcare application,which can assist the users to monitor their health-related conditions on daily basis for improving their health. The application is developed using android operating system environment. A Visual block programming language, namely MIT App Inventor is used to develop the system. The results depict that the system provides an easy and user-friendly interface for end-users.

This work deals with development of android-based multiple-choice question examination system, namely: Quizzy. This application is developed for educational purpose, allowing the users to prepare the multiple choice questions for different examinations conducted on provincial and national level. The main goal of the application is to enable users to practice for subjective tests conducted for admissions and recruitment, with focus on Computer science field. This quiz application includes three main modules, namely (i) computer science, (ii) verbal, and (iii) analytical. The computer science and verbal modules contains various types of sub categories. This quiz includes three functions: (i) Hint, (ii) Skip, and (iii) Pause, which are collectively named as life lines that help users to answer questions correctly. These functions can be used only once by a user. It shows progress feedback during quiz play, and at the end, the app also shows the result.

With the growing interest of people in android-based applications, it has been observed that mobile devices can be used to increase the educational skills of school going children instead of leaving them to waste their time on only playing games. Therefore, development of educational application is essentially required, especially, to improve the mathematics-related skill of children. Although many applications exist online for such purposes. However, there is a need to develop a simple, interactive and easy to use android-based application for enhancing the skill of children in basic mathematical concepts. In this work, we develop an educational application, named “Basic Math Skill Builder” by using MIT App inventor framework, which assist the beginners in math to learn basic math operations. Moreover, they can check their skill level by attempting quizzes by using visual images and audio support. The developed application is very interesting and provides with the students school like environment.

This report is about CADRE (Computer Assisted Diagnosis for Red Eye), an expert system for the diagnosis of different diseases associated with Red Eye.
